Training Room and Occupational Therapy Devices
- The room for hand function training is equipped with splints and /or fabrications used for arm and hand training - - hand stretching, object taking, object moving and object releasing.
- The room for cognitive function training is used to promote cognition among stroke and dementia patients. The training includes remembrance, thinking, reasoning, perception of date, time and place and calculation.
- The room for feeding and swallowing training is for stroke patients provided with IV fluids and losing chewing and swallowing abilities.
- The room for activities of daily living training is to support clients’ activities of daily living - - eating, mobility, dressing and using toilet.
- The entertainment rehabilitation room is equipped with games to be used as media for entertainment and rehabilitation. The entertainment includes WII games, movies and singing.
- The handicraft room uses arts as media for hand function training. Patients will have an opportunity to practice learning through arts and reducing stress by drawing pictures and making artificial flowers.
Additionally, the occupational therapies of the hospital offer the services of designing assistive and adaptive devices and/ or fabrications and advice on home modification and improvement for the elderly patients.
